More Candy!!!

Survival Mode!

We are still here!! A lot going on as you will see below but here is a glimpse of what we have survived the last few months!!

We survived Rachel's first major school project!!! Map of NC, complete with mountain, piedmont and coastal regions!! 

We survived a broken foot!! When the doctor said "ABSOLUTELY NO WEIGHT BEARING" I  cried smiled and said ok doc : ) 

But we made it work, with giant spiderman coloring guys!!!

Cast #2! They actually saw off the old cast, to then X-ray again, and then tell you "ABSOLUTELY NO WEIGHT BEARING" again....just in case you are wondering what the process is. 

Then you get to go and get Cast #2 sawed off and they give you this cool black boot and say "YOU  CAN  WALK NOW" but your 4 year old thinks it was pretty cool to get carried around all the time so you have to retrain him.

SURVIVING.....need I say more? 

Drew is doing EXACTLY what everyone in the store wanted to do........

We survived Gettysburg!! And had an awesome time!!

Kids had a good time but honestly, they talk non-stop about Gettysburg and haven't mentioned Hershey even once!

Jacob got the game ball for being a "great leader and showing good sportsmanship"

Skip Its!! It's going to be a great season!! Rachel is doing some amazing stuff!!! Will try and post a video next time I get one

Softball!! We had a great season and a great group of girls. Won the regular season and got Runner Up in the tournament. This is our girl mid swing!

So how did this happen????

How did Rachel break her wrist you ask....well, let me take you back to the conversation with the doctor......

Doctor : "So how did this happen?"

Me:  Well....it's kind of funny....I mean, I'm sure you have heard it all....no doubt you have heard this one. She was jump roping.....

Doctor: "And she fell?" 

Me: "Sort of..... Oh, did I forget to mention she was jump roping while jumping on her pogo stick........I figured that was implied.....oops"

Doctor: "Those two don't go together"

Me: " You need to come to a Skip Its Show " 

So that's how we went from this

No worries, just a small fracture. And it's not like we are going to the beach this next week or anything.....thank you water proof cast inventor guy (or gal)!!

Mudcats Baseball

We discovered another gem in our own backyard! Mudcats Baseball! Ok, so it's about 45 minutes away but cheaper than a movie and much better people watching! We took Jacob, Rachel, Andrew, and a couple of Jacob's friends for his birthday and had a blast! Can't wait to go back!

SUMMER!!!!

Kids laughing at the pool, sticky popsicle hands, and catching fire flies at night.......so excited that summer is here!! It has been a busy Spring to say the least. Baseball, Softball, Soccer are all winding down and now there is more time to just relax and enjoy some family time. Rachel and Jacob are

happily finishing up their last few weeks of school and then it will be time for the beach!! 

Here is what we have been up to!!!

Soccer at 9:00, Softball at 11:00, Baseball at 1:30.......seriously the perfect day!

Last Day of Preschool Ice Cream Social. Drew had a great year that flew by! We can't believe in one more year he'll be headed off to Kindergarten.
